We’re on the cusp of a lunar eclipse. As we go into the weekend, we’re not only feeling heightened emotions, but we may be feeling a reality check as the Sun meets up with the Nodes and Saturn.
If you ever want to track the astrology yourself, look for the eclipses and Saturn, two things that never fail to make their mark. Of course, there are other important influences, but the eclipses and Saturn shape time as well as our experience of time. They mark the major points of change and transition throughout the year.
While this weekend‘s square of the Sun to Saturn may seem less important in the eve of a Scorpio lunar eclipse, it is an opening Saturn square as well as a thread back to the conjunction on February 4, 2022. Whatever we began at or near that time gets its first test. Then again, this is also a test of what we’ve been building while Saturn’s been in Aquarius since 2020. (Read Saturn in Aquarius: Building Humanity.)
As a result, we’ve got some options to weigh, some decisions to make, and commitments to make. Saturn just wants the structure of our lives to be sound. But if they are out of alignment or out of balance, this weekend we may need to recalibrate.
Then there’s the May 16 Scorpio Full Moon eclipse at 25 degrees. Lunar eclipses punctuate the hour. They push us to take action, to face something, or make a pivot. When we look back at our experiences in 2022, we may find that May was a decisive month.
That said, the Sun meets up with the North Node of the Moon in Taurus today, the first time the Sun has done so since the Nodes arrived in Taurus-Scorpio back in January 2022. The doors of fate swing open and closed. Things are coming in and out of our lives, all in advance of the upcoming full moon.
If you are in AUSTRALIA or NZ, this forecast applies approximately for May 14-16.
